The Weather Outside My Window | Kristen Boudreau

I can’t see the weather outside my window right now because the blinds are closed, which they always are. My mom always, well, mostly always had the blinds closed when I was younger. She was oddly paranoid that our neighbors would spy on us and watch us inside our house if the blinds were kept open. This is ironic because she loves to spy on other people. She lives in a neighborhood where the houses, ergo the neighborhood, is still being built, and one summer I was visiting her and we were taking an afternoon stroll when she just walked through the back door of a house under construction because she wanted to see what that house looked like and how it compared to her own newly built one. I’m pretty sure that’s trespassing. Or, would it count as breaking and entering even though there was no breaking?
